I’m pretty positive that you want your pictures to be great. And one of the elements in making great pictures is clothing choice!
So, rather than going out and shopping for an outfit for pictures, think if you may already have the perfect outfit hanging in your closet (or in your drawer…or wherever you store your clothing). A main factor in your outfit is being comfortable and feeling like you look really good. You’ll want to choose clothing that you would normally wear and shows off your personal style. If going out and purchasing that new shirt makes you feel comfortable and stylish though…by all means, do so!
Here are a few basic guidelines about choosing what to wear:
-Colors are nice. And choose simple over busy patterns (for the most part- sometimes it works)
-Think of colors you look good in
-Choose clothing that is more fitting rather than baggy
-Plan clothing to coordinate with the photography location and time of year
-I LOVE hats & accessories. If you do too, please feel free to bring along and wear to your session
-Always feel free to bring a change of clothes
-Like I said before- BE YOURSELF! Chose clothes that you love, would normally wear & shows your personal style
FAMILIES: I feel that your pictures will turn out better if you wear coordinating colors rather than exact matching clothes. Don’t stress about it though- the most important part is having fun and I want to capture your family as you are!
And remember, if you have any questions at all about wardrobe (or anything else), please feel free to call or e-mail and I will gladly help you with anything you need!
Does anyone else have any other clothing ideas or recommendations?
